Happy Sunday, lovelies! And Happy Birthday, Luisa from Peaches to Pearls, aka the sweetest little peach and owner of a blog you MUST check out right meow.

This morning was one of those mornings where I just couldn’t get myself up and ended up hitting snooze at least ten times (yes I use alarm clocks even on the weekend!) I pulled myself out of bed and was instantly hungry. And where do Tucker and I go when we’re hungry?

Cypress Street Pint & Plate, of course.

I had to get ready quick so that the hangry beast inside of me didn’t explode. Naturally, that meant minimal makeup with a red lip and a fun bun. For my outfit, I pulled out some of my tried + true pieces that never disappoint, including my all-time favorite button up from Banana Republic. You can find details on my outfit at the end of the post.

Now onto the food! This was my first time at Cypress for Brunch because I usually just go for the house beer and some pub food, and I gotta say, it was pretty damn good. I ordered the Chilaquiles – and the waiter commended me on my order saying that it’s the best choice on their menu – and Tucker got the Jalapeno Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious, but mine was definitely better ;). If you ever want a super flavorful (and extra filling) breakfast, check out Cypress and order the Chilaquiles. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m thinking I’m going to need to try to make chilaquiles in my own kitchen, so be on the lookout for a yummy, healthy recipe in the near future.
