I am all about neutral palettes. I cannot get enough of them. So when I got word that there was a new drugstore neutral palette out, I obviously had to try it out.
At first glance, I think it’s a good palette as far as range of colors and formulations. The packaging is sleek, compact, and feels sturdy enough, so no complaints there. There is a diagram on the back showing various combinations of shadows for different looks, which is a nice and very appreciated touch. But that’s not what you guys came here for, is it? Nah.
So here’s the lowdown on the eyeshadows: in short, they’re decent. But definitely not GOOD. As with most cheap palettes, the shimmer shades are creamier and more pigmented than the matte shades. When applied over a primer they work better, however, the texture of the matte shadows is chalky and powdery and just…off. If you’re on a budget, this is a decent palette, but other than one or two of the shimmer shades, it isn’t going to hold a candle to higher end shadows like MakeUpForever.

Texture: C-
Pigmentation: C
Value: B+ (at $10, it’s overall a very cheap palette, but it’s not a ton of product and they aren’t great quality)
