mac nars chanel black radiance

Fall is my favorite season for pretty much everything — weather, clothing, food, and especially makeup! With an emphasis on darker colors like deep wine and dark purples, my inner goth kid gets to come out to play while looking trendy and fashionable.

Here are a few from my collection that I can’t wait to bust out over the next few months. Swatches below!

Black Radiance – 5027 Burgundy Royale

falllipstick4Black Radiance products can be found at most local drugstores (I got mine at CVS.) They are geared towards women of color, but the lipsticks in particular are great for all skintones, and y’all, they are PIGMENTED. The formula is so smooth and creamy it practically melts into your lips, but make sure you love the color in the tube because what you see is what you get, and it’s BOLD!

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque – 75

falllipstick5This is a liquid lipstick type product raved about by Temptalia. The color payoff is wonderful, the formula has a nice sheen without being too shiny, and it lasts for a pretty long time without being too drying. It’s a great fall red!

Sephora Lip Stain – 14 Blackberry Sorbet

Screen Shot 2015-09-10 at 6.23.17 PMI have pretty much every shade of these because I love them so much. They are liquid lip sticks that really live up to their name by staining the lips. You paint them on, let it dry, and it is locked on for HOURS. If you dislike that sort of dry/painted look or feeling, then I don’t recommend them, but they’re pretty cheap so give it a shot! This color in particular is the perfect “so dark it’s almost pure dark brown/black” and just screams fall to me.

NARS Audacious – Fanny

falllipstick3A deep purple plum color that makes a great fall shade. Actually, this color is probably good for most seasons, but I find myself gravitating toward it most during the fall months. If you haven’t tried the Audacious formula, it is an absolute MUST. They’re creamy, opaque, and last for hours without being too drying or flaky. This color in particular wears exceptionally well!

Laura Geller – Cranberry

falllipstick1I bought this off Hautelook years ago on a whim and had no idea it would turn into one of my favorite and most versatile colors. It’s deep but neutral, and could be worn as a fall plummy/mauvey/nudey color (and who doesn’t like that combo?) If you’re in the market for something a little darker and vampier without going too bold or intense, this is the one for you!
